Writer

Otis Adelbert Kline

The first issue opened a serial of his: “The Thing of a Thousand Shapes,” March 1923.

The March 1923 first issue of Weird Tales carried the opening installment of Kline’s “The Thing of a Thousand Shapes,” alongside the cover story “Ooze.”

He also worked on the magazine in its first year, assisting Baird as a reader. The combined May/June/July 1924 issue, the last to list Baird, was assembled by Farnsworth Wright and Kline.

A working list marked his exact title and tenure as acting editor ⚠. This page states only the serial in the first issue and that he helped assemble the 1924 combined number — both on sources opened here. It does not call him acting editor.
